I’m thinking the Rays value Walls more than his value on BTV. Rays could use Bullpen help but I can’t see them swapping Walls for Holderman.
I actually agree with you that the Rays value Walls more than BTV. If Wander goes down (God Forbid) , I don't think they would entrust Brujan to fill in. Walls on the other hand could at least provide equal to if not even better defense should Wander miss time.
Walls is a frontrunner for the ALVP. He's not getting traded for less than $40M excess value.
