If the A's wanted De Jong they could have claimed him on waivers and Frazier is a 25 year old OF that's been stuck in AA since 2021; I doubt these two move the needle at all in a deal for Rooker. This is essentially Peguero for Rooker and that's an interesting thought. As red hot as Rooker has been, Peguero was the opposite and I'd like to give him a few more weeks to dig out of the hole. I'd want to find an intriguing arm as a +1 but this is worth another look down the road.

You're not wrong. I just added De Jong because I hate 'im and Frazier was tossed in there to even the value and because he has had the chance to show what he has in spring training but isn't growing in our system. Maybe Oakland can do something with him. It essentially is Rooker for Peugero. And the A's could use a middle infield prospect. Peguero would be the best shortstop in their organization on the first day.
I completely understand folding in guys you don't like. There can be serious satisfaction in planning the farewell of certain players. And Front Office personnel.
