4Before everyone slides off the rails, I believe that GRod is overvalued in this model. He's now back in AAA and a team rep is talking like they'd like to have him back in October. Certainly not a ringing endorsement. Well, Orioles, you need to win to get to October and you need veteran pitching to do it. Remember that Burnes experienced what GRod is experiencing now and he worked through it. I have confidence in the Brewers pitching lab. I think the Brewers would straighten GRod out. SO.... you overpay now and make this trade to help you make the push for the stretch run and post season relevance. I wouldn't make this trade now. I'd see where the Brewers are later this month. If they remain where they are now and Brandon Woodruff is not back, I'd pull the trigger. I love Corbin and I wish he'd be with us for the next several years but I truly believe the Brewers burned a bridge with him and now that Boras is his agent, it is over.

Lopsided does not even begin to describe how bad this trade is, and it's telling that you use the word "us" to describe the Brewers. The Orioles would have 0.0 interest in this. And FYI, the statement from Elias was they expect to have G-Rod back in the rotation this year, including October - basically, they are confident he can be a part of a playoff rotation and have a better second showing to get them there. Not that they think he will only be back at that point.
