I’m giving this 2 thumbs up, the 18yr old Basallo might be a gem but years away, getting Cease for 2+ years is a positive move for the Orioles and I think Ortiz is ready, maybe he takes over 2B, and Povich is in AA and probably needs to continue at that level. Still I wonder if the White Sox would part with Cease, they’d probably want to swap out Povich for a different SP.
I’d like to counter with Hall, Kremer & Basallo but I think the Orioles would balk at it.
