I like the reunion with Kelly. I am not a fan of getting Lynn as well. He's had an awful year, plus he's old as hell.
I kinda get the Lynn part. Looking at the postseason Kershaw and Urias I would say are the only 100% given SP if healthy. That leaves two spots to go to Gonsolin, Miller, Grove, & Sheehan. There's not many starting pitchers in the market more talented than those 4. So why not get a SP who's a safe bet to eat innings and has the experience to fill in as a 4th SP in the postseason if any injuries come up. Also, the Rays were interested in Lynn so my guess is the Dodgers and Rays both saw something with Lynn that can help him better perform. I agree it's an oversell by the dodgers for sure. I wish the White Sox included some cash to go along with Lynn.
The White Sox should trade Crease now with this favorable market.
