3Brewers say no thanks. They have high hopes for Mitchell. They are giving up two years of Milner for a 1/3 year of Peralta. Milwaukee is losing too many years of team control for a rental and one year of Torres.
Brewers get Gleyber Torres to upgrade at second base, Wandy Peralta to replace Hoby Milner. Torres is a huge upgrade over Turang, and Peralta has pitched just as well as Milner this year. Yankees sell and get Garrett Mitchell, Hoby Milner. Mitchell will compete for the starting CF job with Bader leaving in free agency, and Milner replaces Peralta who will be a free agent.

Does a Torres for Mitchell trade change things for you? Mitchell is coming off a serious shoulder injury and is blocked by Wiemer, Frelick, Yelich, and soon Chourio, which limits his value due since the Brewers don't have much leverage. Torres would be a significant upgrade over Turang right now.
