2LOL... "Rays can fix Grisham". That seems like the argument for so many trades. Anything is possible, but Grisham has spent 5 years in the Majors and really only has 1 good season at the plate (coincidentally the Pandemic-Shortened 2020 season). My guess is that he is who he is, and that's a very good 4th outfielder. The Rays will probably need a good 4th outfielder though, so that's not necessarily a problem (a $5MM 4th outfielder might be). It is a problem if he's a headliner in a Glasnow trade though. Grisham having reverse splits is also a problem, because the Rays really need guys who can hit RHP. Iriarte and Mazur don't profile as Aces in my mind. They might be good pitchers in time, but they don't have the upside to make up for a 4th outfielder headlining a trade of a TOR Ace in my opinion. Rays say no.
Rays can fix Grisham and they get two good pitching prospects to turn into aces. They're gonna have to pay Glasnow a bag, and I know they don't want to do that
