5This deal is dead on arrival because the Brewers get no pitching. The very last thing Milwaukee wants or needs is an outfielder. They also don't want Yorke as part of any trade for pitching. The Brewers with Monasterio, Turang, and Black coming up, are fine at 2B. The two pitchers are lottery tickets. When the Brewers trade Burnes they have to get pitching, not position players in return.
Why would the Red Sox (or any team) trade for Burnes? He’s hurt, damaged goods, in his last year of arbitration, who’s giving away 30 for him? If the Brewers are expecting to get 30 for him they’re seriously mistaken.
I think you're thinking of Woodruff. Burnes is not hurt and not damaged goods. He was healthy all year. He started 32 games and pitched 193 innings.
I really did think they were both hurt with Burnes just pitching through it
I can understand that. I also wondered that myself. But according to Burnes, it was his mechanics and he had to change the break of the slider. He had some great games but not as many as most Brewer fans expected.
