3Down vote for Oakland. They've already invested a lot at SS, with Hernaiz and Allen fighting it out for the big league job in 2024 and 1st round pick Jacob Wilson expected to move quickly through the system. Ortiz could be a quality, big league SS but the A's need help at other positions (3B, CF).
You don’t feel that Ortiz or one of Hernaiz, Allen or Wilson can handle 3B? The A’s would pass on a top 100 prospect?
I don't think any of them have the bat to play 3B. The bulk of Ortiz's value is tied to the idea that he can be a league-average bat while playing the 6; it's a great profile. But Jacob Wilson is a Top 100 prospect with the same profile so I question the need to duplicate the effort.
