Toronto needs starting pitching in a trade of Stroman and Abreu and Adams aren't at the level they would be wanting. I also don't see Cleveland trading a top prospect for Frazier who is likely going to end up a DH.

fair point regarding toronto. disagree on frazier. frazier was much higher regarded as a prospect than freeman is now. He was a top 25 prospect that has proven he can hit mlb pitching. Yes hes had a rough year defensively but he is young and also played right field when he is a left fielder. Before this year he was never regarded as poor defensively. If anything, I think cleveland is the last team to say no to this deal.

Freeman is young and has helium in the rankings. Freeman and Valera have been quickly rising on prospect rankings and are the heart of Cleveland's future.

Toronto also has Vlad, Biggio and Bichette as their infield of the future. They would not need Freeman. Freeman is likely Lindor's replacement if they are unable to sign him.
