2OKAY HEAR ME OUT!! I think a deGrom/Torres swap alone could get it done, but it would not let me post that because the values didn't align. I honestly don't know who says no to this trade straight up, maybe Yankees give up a lower level guy as well but I do think this would be an interesting trade for both sides. Mets aren't winning this year and need to get value out of their rotation somehow. Gleyber is someone to build around so that is perfect. For the Yankees you have to depth to lose Gleyber this year with Didi back and need a shutdown arm in the postseason and deGrom has proven he can handle New York spotlight. Sorry to any Yankee/Met fans if you feel I screwed your team. Again I think the deal should be deGrom/Torres straight up in real life.
Are you kidding? Torres is a 22-year-old middle-infield All-Star, a plus defender and an elite hitter. I wouldn't do Gleyber for DeGrom AND Syndegaard
