This is an accurate estimate of what the Mets would be asking for in return. Whether the Twins (or any other team) offers it to them is a different matter.

Disagree. I can't see why the Mets would do this. They're a win-now team with very little financial flexibility for the 2020 season and are already facing one hole in the rotation with Wheeler's free agency. Having to replace two starters with little money and a weak farm (nothing to trade, nobody to promote) would not be easy. And the last thing they need is another corner outfielder. The prospects are nice, but don't do anything to help the team next season. It may be fine value-wise, but doesn't make sense for where the Mets are right now.

I agree they will want a heavy package, but BVW would be fired yesterday if he acquired Cano only to deal away Syndergaard, and he might be rehired quickly just so he could be fired again if said deal for Syndergaard was headlined by an outfielder and not a potential ace pitcher. The Twins have also said Kiriloff, along with Graterol and Lewis are untouchable. However, this could just be posturing. But if the Twins were to try to acquire Syndergaard, I have to think including Graterol is non-negotiable.
