4Cleveland has the AL Gold Glove catcher and a prospect catcher that was a first round draft choice. Starting pitching is their strength. So how does this package help the Indians? You are not getting Lindor for average players or prospects. Cleveland President Chris Antonetti stated at the GM meetings that he expects Lindor to be a Cleveland Indian in 2020.
I have little Indian insight into their needs and farm, but Lindor would likely command Drew Waters/Christian Pache from Atlanta to start any deal. Likely Drew Waters, Dansby Swanson and a lesser prospect/piece (Inciarte, Weigel, etc) Tbh of course he would say that though. What is he supposed to say, we are close to getting rid of Francisco?
hockeyjohn won't be satisfied with any Lindor trade on this site.
None of your trades have been reasonable ones, Natedub123. You do not look at the needs of both teams when proposing trades. So, yes, I have not been satisfied with any of your trades. No, I don't want the Indians to trade their best player. I have been an Indian fan since I was 7 years old back in 1965. I have watched time and time again over the years our best players traded or leave as a free agent. Rarely, have the Indians had one of the faces of baseball on their team. Why would I be excited to see him traded. With Lindor still having two years of control, Cleveland can wait and get a package that meets their needs. The Cleveland front office is very good. The will set a price for Lindor and not accept less. If they don't get their price, Lindor will be an Indian in 2020.
