2This is a great breakdown of the 3 Braves players, but I hope the Braves would never make this trade...just toooooo much. To me, Waters is off limits, I think he's better than Pache, who gets all the headlines. As for Wilson, unless Wright can step it up a notch, I think Wilson is better, just too inconsistent right now, but he is just 21. Swanson's biggest problem is he's injury prone, but that's because he plays like a bulldog. Swanson is a very good SS though, good enough to win a WS with. I've played around with a Lindor trade too, but in all reality, the Braves don't need a SS. From what I've heard from the Indian fans on here, I don't think the Indians will trade Lindor anyway. They still wanna win the Div and Lindor is a great SS that can help with that.
Trade "value" is an overpay by the braves. But I think it will take an overpay to get Lindor. The "cash" is just to make it so the trade would go through. Indians will need a SS if Lindor is traded, and Swanson is the best SS they will get in a return for Lindor. He is an above average SS that will cost less moving forward and will be much easier for the Indians to resign long term if they so choose. Waters is the 23rd overall prospect in the MLB. A switch hitting outfielder who has plus defense and a career .300 average in the minors despite being vastly younger than his competition. He played AA and AAA last year at 20 years old. The average age of a AA player is 24 years. He was 4 years younger than the average and was a star in AA. Wilson is a 21 year old righty and already had a small taste of the majors. The first high school player from his draft to see the bigs (just learned this). Middle of the rotation potential with Wilson who can also fall back on being a bullpen piece. Dansby Swanson 25 years and lower cost for an above average SS. Waters is 20 years old and a top prospect in all of baseball. Wilson 21 years old with middle of rotation potential.
