Cleveland would take the deal, though Cleveland would have to make a second deal because they have a full 40 man roster...

Yes, in my mind this would be followed up with one or more deals for Plesac and prospects on the fringes of the 40 man. I'd imagine Plesac + Tena + Curry have enough value to bring back a nice non rule 5 eligible prospect. Miller also needs to go, but I think his days are already numbered since room needs to be made for Zunino. Vientos would platoon with Naylor, and Cookie takes the place of Plesac in the rotation, bridging the gap to Cleveland's top pitching prospects. I can also imagine a world where Amed gets traded, but it doesn't seem overly likely.
Did you forget Cleveland signed Bell? Though on paper its not a bad concept at all. I just don't know if they will give up Vientos plus Carrasco for Palacios... I actually feel it would be for Plesac...
Bell will be in the lineup everyday, but Naylor still needs a platoon, he hasn't show he can hit left handed pitching. Right now that role is being filled by either Arias or Miller, but neither are ideal in that role. Arias has too much defensive upside to be stuck at 1B or DH, and Miller is bad. I agree that the return to the Mets probably needs to be different, but I have no idea what they might want, and if they're really trying to dump Cookie's contract, then a negligible piece might be enough since the negative value apparently balances roughly with Vientos.
