A pair of trades for Robert. These would be done in a 1 now, 1 to be named later format. For instance, in this one, Stewart would go now, and if Robert was available for a certain number of games (say, 130), then Stafura would be the player to be named. Otherwise the Reds might give cash or a lesser player.

I can not imagine the Reds going after Robert Jr. For a cash strapped team like the Reds claim to be his salary/injury risk would be too much to take on. If we had Dodger money we would not give it a second thought if we wanted him. Baseball and it's messed up financials.

Perhaps you should argue for this site to only accept trades that are realistic based on team finances. Until then, I'm going to propose ideas, realistic or not, that I think would make the Reds better.

LOL, um okay. I was unaware of your views. Don't understand them but it's all good. Have a great day!

It can easily be argued that some owners are penny pinching tight wads.

One problem with the Reds is their ownership structure is unique to baseball. There is an "ownership share" which is currently owned by Castellini. But the minority owners get a lot of input, and they seem, first and foremost, to be concerned with receiving a dividend every year. They're investors, not owners. And that's before we get to how big a piece of garbage Phil Castellini is.
