2I think a Yandy trade with NY looks closer to this. A buy low candidate in Parada, whom many thought had the best bat in the draft just 2 years ago,a helium SP in Tong that they're getting before his big breakout, and a 2 way prospect in McLean.
I say YES to this trade because I’d love to get Tong and McLean, but I don’t think it’s likely. Rays have assembled a great pitching class in the Farm and don’t really need the Mets #2-3 pitchers. Plus, the Mets can’t really “afford” to part with so many good pitchers. They don’t have a good rotation at the ML level or a strong system of pitching (without Tong and McLean). I think an MLB ready position player has to be part of any trade. Zero interest in Parada by the way.
