I think the Rays say no to this trade. Davis wouldn’t catch for the Rays and I suspect Ortiz wouldn’t start for the Rays, though he would be useful as a solid multi-inning reliever. Maybe have the Pirates throw in M.Kennedy to get the deal done (or swap Ortiz for a decent prospect or two).
