This wouldn’t be an ideal return for the Rays. They already have a good pitching staff for 2025 and adding an expensive reliever (in trade terms) isn’t their MO. Third base is obviously Caminero’s for the time being, so the Rays would have to move Baty to a LF, the position they are trying to give Morel. Rays need outfielders, catchers, and far off pitching (at least a year out), which this trade doesn’t have.
