According to Statcast, Abrams is a horrendous SS in the field, so I don’t think this would be good match for the Rays, who value SS defense more than offense.

Abrams moves to 2B when Carson Williams is ready, he’s just holding down the fort in the meantime. Junior Caminero 3B, Carson Williams SS, C.J. Abrams 2B, Xavier Isaac 1B. I think if any team turns this deal down it would be the Pirates. The Rays & Nationals are definitely 👍
I would turn this down for the Rays. Abrams loses a lot of trade value in my opinion as a 2B, given he barely clears 100 wRC+ and is a bad defender.
