Shows as an overpay but hear me out.... Cleveland gets 2 players they are familiar with to contribute to the playoff run. Diaz gives a power bat they desperately need, Rosario can hold down the fort for now at Shortstop like he did in 2022. Rocchio needs a change of scenery and I feel that most teams give him a value around 12, 21 seems super high, Watson is blocked with all the MI talent the Guardians have and is worth it for Tampa as he is a former 1st rounder.
I'll be honest... This is 100% no from Cleveland... They aren't gonna trade for Rosario...
Because of a personality clubhouse culture problem? Seems weird you'd take such a hard line on someone valued at $1.7MM.
Naw, Rosario is good in the clubhouse... It's the fact he was already essentially cut by Cleveland and if they wanted him, they would have outbid the Rays for him without a doubt... They aren't gonna get him back when they cut him...

I assumed with Naylor and Manzardo, that they would not need a 1B/DH. You think they'd really be in the market for a 1B?
They are in the market for a two or 5 hole hitter... Diaz fits that... They badly need a hitter and a SP... Trust me outside of C, LF and 3B they will be willing to acquire someone of any other position as long as it fills that need they have with the bat..
