Cleveland isn't moving Hedges...
Cleveland spent 4 million dollars on Hedges because they wanted him as the team captain and the backup C... Diaz was likely available this off season, but Cleveland never put a bid in for him... Last season, they needed a catcher, but never got Diaz... Which tells me either the Rockies wanted to much or Cleveland wasn't all that interested in him... Hedges isn't going anywhere, if anything, I would bet IF Hedges isn't in Cleveland, they aren't making the playoff this season...

Because he is so talented. Probably the biggest superstar who has never hit over .200. Completely unmovable. Yeah you are probably right. Right up there in Cleveland sports untouchables with Lebron, Mitchell, Garrett.....
You don't get it... Hedges was brought in to be the team Captain and play good defense... Trust me, if he wasn't brought in to be that, he wouldn't be in Cleveland...
No I get it. He signed a one year contract. They obviously did not sign him with the expectation that he was going to be there long term. Diaz is a good defensive catcher too and 100x better offensively.
If Diaz is acquired he would be replacing Naylor and sending Naylor down not replacing Hedges... They aren't trading Hedges...
