2Maybe this would happen at the deadline, if the Orioles still need a top of the rotation starter. Brewers would get 2 of the Orioles top 10ish prospects a 1b/3b which they always are looking for and if Hoskins opts out at the end up the year they might have the replacement in Mayo.
This would not happen at the deadline. There is literally no chance Baltimore trades 6 years of a potential star for two or three months of burnes (a definite star, but still). They wouldn’t do it now (and forget about adding in McDermott). Furthermore unless Milwaukee is out of it come the deadline they’re just gonna play out the string and hope to catch fire in the playoffs
