3Sheehan, if he were still a prospect, would probably be the top prospect in the Dodgers system, while De Paula and Frasso check in at #2 and #3 respectively (Baseball Prospectus). Bieber would take Sheehan's spot in the rotation, still leaving the Dodgers with a need for another starter. If I'm Andrew Friedman, I pass on this deal. Clase is more a luxury than a need.
The idea of trading Clase is to add offense to their MLB club and this trade does nothing to help the offense.
Again, Frasso has RP written all over him and he will not be of interest to Cleveland. Replace him with Hurt or Ryan and it gets more interesting. The problem with De Paula is that he is 4 yrs away and Cleveland is not in a rebuild. Vargas is a fit for Cleveland and the Dodgers don't need him. They might prefer Busch at 2B anyway and Vargas is more suited for the OF IMO.
