I suspect the Giants will try to get as much high-upside young talent as they can for both Smith and Bumgarner. While this one seems logical, it might be outbid by another package with one higher-upside prospect.
I actually agree. If there is an OAK - SF matchup, I actually think it's more likely that one of Fowler, Bolt, or Barrera goes to SF, given SF's dearth of outfielders. Interesting that Fowler is valued so highly

Yeah, Fowler's stock has been dropping, but not too long ago he was a 55-rated prospect, so he's still perceived as having upside.
